AENA has awarded ZIGOR CORPORATION, through the CYMI-INSAE UTE, the supply of 2.5 MW Power Stations for the implementation and commissioning of the first large solar self-consumption installation that the world’s first airport operator for number of passengers will build at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. This facility will also be one of the largest in Spain as it will generate a power of 7.5 MW, the equivalent of the energy consumption of 5,500 homes and will reduce CO2 emissions by almost 3000 tons per year.
From a technical point of view, these Power Stations are built with 1.25 MW inverters and equipped with Medium Voltage systems (Transformer and Cell), and have a cooling system and auxiliary services. Its delivery is scheduled for the month of September and its initial commissioning would take place in the month of October.
