Zigor collaborates in the installation of two new PV plants of IKEA

On January and March respectively were officially connected to the grid the photovoltaic plants of IKEA in Sabadell and IKEA in Málaga. Both projects are developed by Endesa Energy with the cooperation of Zigor Corporation.

The 100kW PV plant in Sabadell, is one of the first self-consumption solar power plants of this kind for IKEA in Spain and is located over the car park of the facilities. On the other hand, the 2MW PV plant of IKEA in Málaga, is the second generation solar plant of this kind of IKEA in Spain and is located over the roof of the facilities.

For the IKEA Plant in Málaga, Zigor Corporation has provided 12 Sunzet 125 MV inverters, 36 Sunzet String Boxes and 1 Sunzet Meteo weather station. For IKEA Sabadell PV plant it has been supplied 1 Sunzet 100 TL, 3 Sunzet String Boxes and 1 Sunzet Meteo weather station.

The customer is able to see in real time the current provided by each string of solar panels, the temperature of both, the site and the panels, all through the Plant Monitoring System SCADA SWS-1000 designed, manufactured and supplied by Zigor too.

Zigor Corporation, a leader in the energy market, located in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Álava-Araba) in addition to provide technical advice, has put into operation the Inverters and the plant monitoring system.

The 2MW photovoltaic plant of IKEA in Malaga is designed and built for on-grid generation while 100kW PV Central of IKEA in Sabadell is for self-consumption.

This kind of power solutions will allow the generation of clean energy to IKEA facilities and reduce CO2 emissions considerably.
