Continuous supply systems for high power industrial processes

SEPEC is a system used to eliminate short electrical

disturbances: overvoltages, brief interruptions and voltage

sags in critical industrial processes.

Its efficiency of over 99 percent, together with its high

reliability make SEPEC the most profitable investment to

reduce the cost of process shutdowns due to a low quality

of supply.

Technical description

Corporación Zigor has developed an innovative system to reduce

the effect of electrical disturbances on industrial processes,

eliminating voltage sags, brief interruptions and transitory

overvoltages for the most critical of industrial processes.

The SEPEC range has been designed for emergency systems for

industrial application.

Its main function is to guarantee the continuity of the power

supply in industrial processes in which maximum mains availability

is a fundamental requirement.

Its design allows it to work together with emergency generator

units in a configuration that eliminates network interruptions

completely, avoiding interruptions, also eliminating generator

declassification problems deriving from harmonic consumptions

of double conversion UPS.

Features
  • • Eliminates network costs in
  • coupling to units and also
  • network return
  • • Turnkey project: design
  • tailor-made for each installation
  • • Does not introduce harmonics
  • into the installation (upstream)
  • • Does not expose services to
  • inverter distortions
  • • Safety and reliability
  • • Low energy consumption
  • (no air-conditioning of
  • conversion system)
  • • TVSS system
  • • Eliminates ageing of batteries
  • due to current ripples
  • • Capable of operating with
  • Brake regenerative loads
  • (optional)

  • SEPEC PROTECTIONS:
  • 1- SEPEC is a powerful electronic unit designed to provide loads with power controlled under all load and input supply conditions.
  • The following chart shows a system interruption performance record for a process with regenerative speed variators, power return and an operating and control panel equipped with a PLC and network communications system (hub).
  • 2- The load connected to the SEPEC will be protected against all network disturbances (voltage and frequency variations, voltage sags, overvoltages, etc). In the case of a mains failure or lack of supply, the batteries supply the load with guaranteed, controlled power.
  • 3- Its design allows the unit to be used alongside emergency power systems in a configuration that eliminates mains interruptions completely, avoiding zero crossing. Moreover, it avoids generator declassification problems deriving from UPS-type double conversion harmonic load consumptions.
  • 4- Functionally, the SEPEC is made up of the following subsystems: MIT ByPass battery charger/Manual ByPass battery inverter.
